Floors USA’s History of Satisfying Customers Since 1976
Floors USA is a family-owned flooring retail business located on Henderson Road in King of Prussia, PA. What began as Michael D’s Carpet Outlet in 1976 has grown into one of Delaware Valley’s most successful home furnishing businesses, known throughout the area for exceptional customer service and unmatched flooring expertise.
Scott Erlbaum, the President of Floors USA, joined his father’s business in 2001 when he wanted to find a new challenge outside his career in financial advising. Growing up, Scott often joined his father at the store and had many fond memories of learning about leadership and management from his father’s example. After consulting with other senior members of the business, Scott joined Floors USA as a store manager and worked his way up from there, learning the business from the ground up to become qualified to run the business in the future.
In 2003, after consulting with former IKEA President Steen Kanter, Floors USA transitioned from five small locations to today’s Floors USA superstore in King of Prussia. The move allowed them to serve a wider array of customers, growing their business to make a bigger impact in their community. Their new 40,000 square foot location has been filled to the brim with the largest inventory of carpet, hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl, and more in the Delaware Valley ever since.
